Here is some ideas about testing process before release:
  * test a few multimedia websites:
    * Example of RealPlayer video and sound (French education site) : the video should start automatically after loading the linked page into Firefox with the adequate plugins [[http://www.canalu.fr/canalu/affiche_programme.php?sequence_id=1760925521&programme_id=1691842613&num_sequence=0&format_id=11085|Right-click here]] and choose to open the test page in a new tab...
      * There is this page with [[http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?p=2528824|infos on Realplayer]] and this page with [[http://archive.canonical.com/pool/partner/r/realplay/|Deb packages to download]]. I followed the instructions installed the Realplayer package and the 
    * www.radio-canada.ca (does not work until Realplayer 10 is installed -see above) if you click on any link where you have a video-camera you should another browser window should come up with a small video
    * cnn.com is providing WMV 9 only it is a good test to know if it works, in my case standard ubuntu plays it sometimes inside the browser sometimes  I have to start totem to see it...

French Canal U web site works nice !

    * Trang web nghe nhạc phổ biến http://nhacso.net. Có thể nghe mà ko cần mediaplayer không nhỉ?
      * the package ''mozilla-plugin-vlc'' is a working solution for this one - I tried by installing it, but it seems not to work from within Firefox (black screen, when you click on the "play" button, nothing can be heard) : needs to be fixed !!!
      * mplayer does work on this one only as external viewer

  * http://www.bbc.co.uk/vietnamese/radio/aod/vietnamese_promo.shtml : this is also solved by installing the Realplayer package as indicated above.

  * http://music.vuilen.com/ : use some Flash applet to play [[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Real_Time_Messaging_Protocol|RTMP]] streams from [[rtmp:w.vuilen.com_music]] => music works with Firefox/Ubuntu Feisty + installation of restricted extras (but some problems with the streaming flow that stops and then do not resume : if you click on the play button you can hear sound for one second then it stops again)

  * we should support seeing vietnamese TV online through this URL: http://www.vtv.vn/VN/TrangChu/Media/

  * try to support VTC? http://www.vnlinux.org/sitemoi/index.php?q=node/3252
